Part 10 - Sculpting From A Sketch.
In this section, you will perform "real world" sculpting tasks using a scanned drawing as a guide. In the VS3D distribution area, there is an example of a scanned drawing (a ".tif" image file). From the main "File" menu, select the "Import -> Image Brightness as Height" option. The file selection dialog will appear. Navigate to the VS3D installation folder and go to the "work\files" folder. There your will find a file called "fl_sketch.tif". If you have installed VS3D in the recommended default location, the full path to this file will be "C:\DES_COM\VS3D20\work\files\fl_sketch.tif". In the file selection dialog, click on this file and then click on "Open" (or just double-click on the file).

The image, in raw form, appears as above. The "Import Pixel Image as Surface Height" dialog will appear.
