1.6.3 Rulers & Guidelines.
"Hide Rulers | Show Rulers" : This mode controls the display of measurement rulers along the edges of the window. The rulers are drawn in green and show the Data Coordinates of the sculpture grid. the data coordinate scales can be set via the main "Edit / Coordinate Scale..." menu.
"Guideline Parameters..." : The Guidelines are visual aids that help with the placement of things during sculpting. The "Guideline Parameters" dialog has seven settings.
-
"Guideline Placement" : This controls which coordinate system is used - Grid Units or Data Units.
-
"Visibility" : This controls the display (visible or invisible) of the guidelines.
-
"Coordinate Type" : Guidelines can be orthogonal (Cartesian) or radial (polar).
-
"Center Point" : This setting controls the center (origin) of the guidelines.
-
"Increment (X or Radius)" : This controls the guideline spacing in the X direction (Cartesian) or radial direction (polar).
-
"Increment (Y or Polar Angle)" : This control the guideline spacing in the Y direction (Cartesian) or the angular increment (polar degrees).
- "Baseline Angle" : For Cartesian guidelines, this is the angle of the guidelines measured in degrees counter-clockwise from horizontal. For polar guidelines, this is the angle of the first radial, measured in degrees counter-clockwise from horizontal.
