VS3D Display Mode "Zoom" : When this mode is set, click and drag a mouse button on the sculpture grid and a purple zoom box will be drawn. When the mouse button is released, the area inside the zoom box is zoomed as large as possible to fit in the sculpture view window. If, in this mode, a mouse button is clicked and released on the sculpture grid without dragging, then the view will be zoomed out to fit the entire sculpture grid in the window. The same thing can be accomplished by clicking on the "Full View" button (see below). "Pan" : When this mode is set, click (and release) a mouse button on a point on the sculpture grid. The view will be panned such that the point clicked will appear in the center of the window. The view will retain whatever zoom factor it had before. "X Profile" : When this mode is set, click (and release) the left mouse button on a point on the sculpture grid. A horizontal dashed orange line is drawn through the point that was clicked on. The surface heights along that line are extracted and plotted over the sculpture view window as a solid orange line, with the corresponding coordinate scales shown along the window edges. The green scale across the bottom shows the X data coordinates of the surface. The orange scale on the left shows the Z heights of the profile line. The profile plot is transient. It will be erased the next time the sculpture view window is redrawn. "Y Profile" : This is similar to "X Profile" mode, except that a Y profile is extracted and plotted. "Full View" : This will zoom the view such that the entire sculpture grid fits inside the sculpture view window. "1:1" : This will zoom the view such that each sculpture grid point maps to exactly one pixel on the screen. If the size of the sculpture grid (in grid points) does not match the size of the sculpture view window (in pixels) then the view is centered on the center of the sculpture grid. In a 1:1 view (in Hammer mode), the size of the hammer (green outline) will match the size of the hammer as shown in the Hammer Tip window. "Window Size..." : This will bring up the "Sculpture View Window Size" dialog. This dialog is used to set the size (in pixels) of the sculpture view window. The size of this window will determine the size (in pixels) of any screen capture image generated from it. A certain minimum window size is enforced. The window dimensions are limited by the maximum (X) dimension of the display screen. The window size can also be changed by using the host system's window manager to resize the main VS3D window.
