VS3D Region Mode
1.5.1 Warp Vector Definition/Modification continued.
"Modify" : This pull-down menu has options for modifying all the existing warp vectors.
- "Translate..." : The "Translate All Vectors" dialog has two fields. The "Coordinate System" setting specifies which coordinate system to use - Grid Units or Data Units. The "Translate" field is for typing in the desired translation as a dX,dY vector.
- "Scale..." : The "Scale All Vectors" dialog has three fields. The "Coordinate System" setting specifies which coordinate system to use - Grid Units or Data Units. The "Scale Center Point" field is for typing in the desired scale center X,Y point. The "Scale Factor" setting specifies the scale factor applied to the vectors, one scale factor per dimension. For example, it is possible to scale Z vectors to half their height (and leave all XY coordinates unchanged) by entering a scale factor of 1,1,0.5 .
- "Rotate..." : The "Rotate All Vectors" dialog has three fields. The "Coordinate System" setting specifies which coordinate system to use - Grid Units or Data Units. The "Pivot Center" field is for typing in the desired X,Y rotation pivot point. The "Rotation" setting specifies the rotation angle (degrees counter-clockwise) to apply to the vectors.
"Show List..." : This button will display a list of all vectors and stationary points. The displayed list will show the vectors in the form "X1 Y1 Z1 X2 Y2 Z2". For XY vectors, Z1=Z2=0. For Z vectors, X1=X2, Y1=Y2, and Z1=0. For stationary points, X1=X2, Y1=Y2, and Z1=Z2=0.
"Delete All" : Clicking this button will delete all current warp vectors.
"Show | Hide" : This mode controls the visibility of the vectors. It is useful for hiding the vectors from display without actually deleting them.
