VS3D Hammer Mode Hammer Tip Draw Modes : "Freehand Lasso" : Click and drag the left mouse button in the Hammer Tip definition window to draw a freehand hammer tip. When the mouse button is released, the hammer tip perimeter is completed and the enclosed area becomes the hammer tip relief. "Freehand Open" : Click and drag the left mouse button in the Hammer Tip definition window to draw a freehand hammer tip. When the mouse button is released, the freehand line becomes the hammer tip relief. "Polyline Lasso" : Click the left mouse button (multiple times) in the Hammer Tip definition window to enter perimeter line segments. Click the right mouse button to finish and close the perimeter, and the enclosed area becomes the hammer tip relief. "Polyline Open" : Click the left mouse button (multiple times) in the Hammer Tip definition window to enter line segments. Click the right mouse button to finish, and the line segments become the hammer tip relief. "Polygon (X=Y)" : Click and drag the left mouse button in the Hammer Tip definition window to draw a hammer tip shape as a standard polygon. In this mode, "X=Y" means that the X dimension of the polygon equals the Y dimension (so, for example, squares and circles are possible, but rectangles and ellipses are not). The number of sides the polygon has can be set via the "Polygon Type" drop-list Selected polygon types can have from 3 sides (triangle) to N sides (circle). When the mouse button is released, the polygon becomes the hammer tip relief. "Polygon (X#Y)" : Similar to "Polygon (X=Y)" except that the X dimension may not be equal to the Y dimension, so that rectangles, ellipses, etc. are possible. A single hammer tip can be constructed using multiple operations. Hammer tips can also be saved and loaded via the main "File / Hammer" menu. "Add | Remove" : In "Add" mode, all newly-drawn hammer tip elements are added to the current hammer tip shape. In "Remove" mode, all newly-drawn elements are removed from the hammer tip shape. Use "Remove" mode, for example, to trim off unwanted portions of a hammer tip. "Filled | Hollow" : In "Filled" mode, the "Lasso" and "Polygon" hammer draw modes result in the hammer tip being filled. In "Hollow" mode, only the Lasso/Polygon perimeter is used for the hammer tip. "Reset" : Click on this button to clear (erase) the hammer tip. "Rotate (Degrees CCW)" : This slider bar can be used to rotate the hammer (degrees Counter Clockwise). |
