Troubleshooting.

Problem: Possible Causes/Resolution:
File output unavailable. VS3D/VScad3 is not licensed.
See the Installation Guide.
Sculpture surface looks flat,
but it isn't.
View was zoomed to a flat part of sculpture.
Display mode "Z Height Shade Range" too large or small.
The visibility of sculpted layers is turned off.
Hammering causes no change in sculpture surface. No hammer tip defined.
Hammer blow is not within current region.
Hammer blow Z height set to zero and mode set to "+--".
Surface heights on current layer are equal to the hammer blow Z height.
Applying a Region causes no change in sculpture surface. No region defined.
Region is hidden.
Region Z height is zero and mode is "+--".
Surface heights on current layer are equal to the region Z height.
Starting a new machining protocol makes surface look flat. The existing material heights (before cutting) are correctly shown.
Applying cutting tool paths will reveal the sculpted surface.
